Born in Cairns, Queensland, Nicole grew up climbing trees, saving wildlife, adopting pets, breeding birds and riding horses in Australia’s tropical far north.
Nicole’s natural ability and interest in visual arts was evident from a young age. Through art, and with the support of her teachers, Nicole was able to overcome the dyslexia that challenged her academic progress and self-esteem at high-school. Nicole started her first business after graduation, selling her work at the Port Douglas market and taking commissions at the age of seventeen.
A self-taught artist, Nicole’s work is a pure expression of her creative identity. She has always drawn inspiration from animals and her environment. The vibrant colours in Nicole’s early paintings reflect her bright, tropical homeland. After 10+ years of living in inner-city Melbourne, her work continues to be fauna-inspired, lately in more subtle tones with pops of colour. Nicole’s understanding of composition and colour is also reflected in her photography.
Nicole’s paintings and limited edition prints hang in private homes and businesses across Australia and the world. She has exhibited at Melbourne’s Federation Square and was accepted by a gallery in New York City.
Nicole is a woman of ideas and action, throwing her creativity, energy and passion into every project. With her down-to-earth attitude, an open heart and mind, commitment to health and sense of adventure, Nicole embraces life fully. She believes that love, laughter, creative expression and staying active are key to her wellbeing.
